Hi
As a 29 year home owner in Corona, I’d like to say “Good luck” with “Temescal Valley Town”, period. Would hate to see the City of Corona “annex” your area (also).
As an avid cyclist along this road (since 1983), I have seen ALL the changes/rapid developments first hand, as they “sprang up” soon after “the city of Corona” took over.
Also, I would never wish the outrages Corona “Dept of Water and *Power” bills on anyone. They must be the highest in the state. Fought city hall (as did most everyone who attended the council meetings) 12 years ago to prevent Corona’s “take over” of Southern California Edison’s “grid” (actually, I think, their property/sub-stations as well), knowing my SCE bills were averaging only 30% of my “city of Corona’s” water bill.
I hope …. Temescal Valley Town grows strong as a community, and prospers.
Phillip
BTW,
(Why am I still in Corona ?), love my neighbors (friends), and have a lot of sentimental ties to my (only) house here (and all the work I’ve invested). But still, do plan to move, with-in a few years, possibly out of state.
*Not sure how they use the word “Power” when it comes from SC Edison (thankfully still).
Hi, Phillip. Thank you for your encouraging words. There are a few things that we don’t like about Temescal Valley but the love we have for this community far surpasses a need to “get out of town.” While you do not like the governance of your city, it’s pretty obvious you love Corona. It’s hard to make change happen where we all live — stay or go? You have to weigh all the good things against the bad things, and Corona does have a lot of good things going for it!
